July Weather in San Diego

San Diego June's night and morning low clouds continue through July, but afternoons are generally clear and bright. The daily maximum temperature rarely exceeds 85°F. The average daily maximum temperature is 76°F, the daily minimum is 66°F, and the monthly mean 71°F. Hot, humid weather is almost unknown, and thunderstorms rarely occur.

July's rainfall is negligible, averaging only 0.2 inch. Normally there are 13 clear, 13 partly cloudy, and 5 cloudy days. The relative humidity averages 81% near sunrise, 69% near noon, and 65% at 4 pm.

In short ... beautiful weather! But be sure to bring a sweater or light jacket, as the Convention Center is air-conditioned.

Those who've attended NECC in the past will notice a change from our usual program:
  • The main conference days will be Wednesday–Friday.
  • Workshops will be held Wednesday–Friday, both days and evenings. A limited number of workshops may be held preconference.
  • The Opening Reception is on the 4th of July! It'll be held at the San Diego Convention Center, a perfect location for viewing numerous fireworks displays over the water — be sure to bring the whole family!
Please keep this schedule in mind as you make your travel and hotel arrangements!
