Informal and intimate, Birds-of-a-Feather Sessions provide a special opportunity for like-minded educators to gather and network. To submit a proposal, go to the Presenter Login, and enter your e-mail address to access or initiate your Speaker Menu. The deadline for submission is March 15.

New! Global Gallery and Student Showcase Session Submissions Re-opened

  • Global Gallery Sessions—for international and/or internationally-focused educators interested in showcasing their projects, curricula, and best practices.
  • Student Showcase Sessions—for educators interested in bringing their students to demonstrate their classroom projects and activities live at NECC.

Complete Program Details Available Mid-February

Bookmark this page and return in mid-February when we will launch the NECC 2006 Program Database. Fully searchable, it will contain complete information for all program categories, including detailed session descriptions and summaries, presenter background information, themes & strands, target audiences, and National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) addressed.

This year's program will also feature a special program emphasis on Charting an Intentional Future.

In the meantime ...

No need to wait—you can register for the conference and reserve housing now. Optional workshops, tours, and other ticketed events can be added to your registration in mid-February, when the Program Database is launched.

July 5–7, 2006

Those who've attended NECC in the past will notice a change from our usual program:
  • The main conference days will be Wednesday–Friday.
  • Workshops will be held Wednesday–Friday, both days and evenings. A limited number of workshops may be held preconference.
  • The Opening Reception is on the 4th of July! It'll be held at the San Diego Convention Center, a perfect location for viewing numerous fireworks displays over the water — be sure to bring the whole family!
Please keep this schedule in mind as you make your travel and hotel arrangements!
